Have you ever met a woman, who’s talent and courage makes you go "WoW". Karen Henrich is following her passion, shutting down her PR practice and moving to Paris to start Nuit Blache Tours. She says: “Many women complain about the sad state of dating affairs in Vancouver. For gals who have been to Europe and particularly Paris, it’s a completely different scene. You’re completely wowed by the confident, romantic gestures of the graciously-mannered, well-dressed and impeccably groomed men that roam the delightful streets. Romance is seeped in French culture and weaved into everyday routines. It’s sad that these wonderful traits are so lacking here; it is after all the stuff that keeps the heart pumping. So I say, if it’s not happening in Vancouver, then go to where it is. This is why I started Nuit Blanche Tours - a tour company for women who want to get away from it all to shop, visit museums, enjoy delectable food and wine, and kick up their heels and indulge in the fine art of romance and flirting - even if it’s just for one week." Visit www.NuitBlancheTours.com for full details, and please pass on the link to anyone you think might be interested.

by Karen Henrich So many of us women in Vancouver couldn’t agree more with Hadani Ditmars’ description of the state of romance in our city. For women who have been to Paris, you know what she’s talking about. In Paris, you first notice there are no men in sight wearing worn baseball caps, scruffy white running shoes, baggy shorts or floppy fleece sweatshirts. Then, you’re completely taken aback by the confident, romantic gestures of the well-mannered and impeccably groomed Parisian men. It’s sad that these wonderful traits are so lacking in Vancouver men. This is, after all, the stuff that keeps the heart pumping. Why is the dating scene so dismal in Vancouver? Who knows? So I say, if it’s not happening here, then go to where it is. See you in Paris.
